There are many ways to get photos onto the website. This tutorial covers the process of adding them to a Gallery. Photos can also be embedded into articles that are submitted to the website. 1. Prepare your pictures for upload. Crop them and save them in a web friendly way. Save them in a place you will be able to find when the time comes to upload them, like your Desktop. Images in general should be .jpg and less than 1 megabyte 1 MB. 2. If you haven't already, Register for the Lions Youth Football website community. 3. Login to the Lions Youth Football website. 4. Mouse over Lions Community and click on My Info 5. Select the Gallery tab. 6. Click on Gallery User Panel 7. From here you can either put a photo into an existing Gallery or you can start a new Gallery (Category). For some reason the software interchanges these two terms (Gallery and Category). 8. To create a new Gallery click on Categories and then New Category 9. To add a new photo, from the User Panel click New Picture, then you will need to fill out the form that looks like the one below:  a. Give it a title b. Select the Gallery c. Give it a description d. Use the Browse button to find your photo wherever you saved it on your computer. e. Click Upload Thats it! It looks like a lot when you write it all down, but really its just a few mouse clicks and it only takes about 1 or 2 minutes once you are used to the process. |
